The rose was hard to photograph to capture all the detail. I placed it in a black teardrop vase and placed on a white panel so that I had a white background. The low winter sun coming in the window cast a black shadow on the panel. The photograph was taken from above to maximise the rose image. On viewing the image on the computer, the shadow blended in the vase. The yellow rose
